AICTE – The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) is a statutory body, and a national-level council for technical education, under the Department of Higher Education. Established in November 1945, it is responsible for proper planning and coordinated development of the technical education and management education system in India. AICTE is assisted by 10 Statutory Boards of Studies, namely, UG Studies in Eng. & Tech., PG and Research in Eng. and Tech., Management Studies, Vocational Education, Technical Education, Pharmaceutical Education, Architecture, Hotel Management and Catering Technology, Information Technology, Town and Country Planning.

DCI – The Dental Council of India is constituted by an act of parliament ‘The Dentists Act 1948’ (XVI of 1948) with a view to regulate the dental education, dental profession and dental ethics thereto-which came into existence in March, 1949. The Council is composed of 6 constituencies representing Central Government, State Government, Universities, Dental Colleges, Medical Council of India and the Private Practitioners of Dentistry.

PCI – The Pharmacy Council of India (PCI) is the statutory body under Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, Government of India. It is constituted under the Pharmacy Act, 1948. The Pharmacy Council of India is constituted by the central government every five years and three types of members collectively form a frame of PCI – the elected members, nominated members and ex-officio members.

INC – Indian Nursing Council is a national regulatory body for nurses and nurse education in India. It is an autonomous body under the Government of India, Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, constituted by the Central Government under section 3(1) of the Indian Nursing Council Act, 1947 of the Indian parliament. According to the original act the function of the council is to provide “uniformity in nursing education” in India.

AKTU – Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Technical University, Lucknow formerly Uttar Pradesh Technical University (UPTU), was established by the government of Uttar Pradesh on 8 May 2000. Under the University Act, ‘Technical Education’ includes programs of education, research, and training in engineering, technology, architecture, town planning, pharmacy, applied arts and crafts. It is an affiliating university, with approximately 800 colleges affiliated with it.

CSJMU – Chhatrapati Shahu Ji Maharaj University (CSJMU or CSJM University or Kanpur University), formerly known as Kanpur University, is a public state university located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh. The university was established in 1966 when Agra University split into Agra and Kanpur universities.

UPSMF – The Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty was constituted under the program of preparing license and membership doctors of Uttar Pradesh State Medical Faculty to meet the shortage of doctors by studying western medicine. For this, the responsibilities of the faculty were to prepare the syllabus for them and work as an examiner’s institution. Along with this, training has been provided to public health nurses, pharmacies, (compounders, dressers), lab technicians, X-ray technicians, sanitary inspectors etc.

Government of Uttar Pradesh – The Government of Uttar Pradesh is the subnational government of the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh. The Governor of Uttar Pradesh is appointed for a period of five years and appoints the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and their council of ministers, who are vested with the executive powers of the state.

NASSCOM – The National Association of Software and Service Companies (NASSCOM) is an Indian non-governmental trade association and advocacy group, focused mainly on the technology industry of India. Established in 1988, NASSCOM is a non-profit organisation and its role has primarily been to ensure the availability of best possible service quality, and enforcement of intellectual property rights, in the Indian software and BPO industry.

CII – The Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) is a non-governmental trade association and advocacy group headquartered in New Delhi, India, founded in 1895. CII engages business, political, academic, and other leaders of society to shape global, regional, and industry agendas. It is a membership-based organisation. CII has been appointed as the B20 India Secretariat by the Government of India to lead the B20 India process during India’s G20 Presidency in 2023.

FICCI – The Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) is a non-governmental not-for-profit trade association and advocacy group based in India. Established in 1927, it is the largest, one of the oldest and the apex business organisation in India. FICCI draws its membership from the corporate sector, both private and public, including SMEs and MNCs. The chamber has an indirect membership of over 250,000 companies from various regional chambers of commerce. It is involved in sector-specific business building, business promotion and networking.

NPTEL – National Programme on Technology Enhanced Learning is a quality Indian e-learning platform for university-level science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) subjects. It is jointly developed by Indian Institutes of Technology and Indian Institute of Science. The initiative is funded by the Ministry of Education (MoE) , Government of India. The project’s central idea is to put recorded lectures taught by its member institutes online for open access.

Jio – Reliance Jio Infocomm Limited, doing business as Jio, is an Indian telecommunications company and a subsidiary of Jio Platforms, headquartered in Navi Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. It operates a national LTE network with coverage across all 22 telecom circles. Jio offers 4G and 4G+ services all over India and 5G service in many cities. Its 6G service is in the works.

IIT Kanpur – Indian Institute of Technology Kanpur (IIT Kanpur) is a public institute of technology located in Kanpur, Uttar Pradesh, India. It was declared to be an Institute of National Importance by the Government of India under the Institutes of Technology Act. The institution was established in 1959. As one of the first Indian Institutes of Technology, the institute was created with the assistance of a consortium of nine US research universities as part of the Kanpur Indo-American Programme (KIAP).

IBM – The International Business Machines Corporation (IBM), nicknamed Big Blue, is an American multinational technology corporation headquartered in Armonk, New York and is present in over 175 countries. It specializes in computer hardware, middleware, and software, and provides hosting and consulting services in areas ranging from mainframe computers to nanotechnology. IBM is the largest industrial research organization in the world, with 19 research facilities across a dozen countries, and has held the record for most annual U.S. patents generated by a business for 29 consecutive years from 1993 to 2021.

Cisco – Cisco Systems, Inc., commonly known as Cisco, is an American-based multinational digital communications technology conglomerate corporation headquartered in San Jose, California. Cisco develops, manufactures, and sells networking hardware, software, telecommunications equipment and other high-technology services and products. Cisco specializes in specific tech markets, such as the Internet of Things (IoT), domain security, videoconferencing, and energy management with leading products including Webex, OpenDNS, Jabber, Duo Security, and Jasper. Cisco is one of the largest technology companies in the world ranking 74 on the Fortune 100 with over $51 billion in revenue and nearly 80,000 employees.
