Day 1
Description of the Event – The academic journey of our newly admitted B.Pharm 1st Year students (2025–26 batch) began with great zeal as Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy successfully organized Day 1 of the Orientation & Induction Programme under Deeksharambh – 2025.
The day was graced by two eminent personalities who inspired and guided our budding pharmacists:
Dr. Shilpa Deshpande Kaisth, Dean – Innovation, Entrepreneurship & Start-up, and Director, CSJMU Innovation Foundation, shared her deep insights on innovation and the power of creative thinking. She encouraged students to cultivate a problem-solving attitude, explore new ideas fearlessly, and make innovation an integral part of their academic and professional journey. Her thought-provoking session set the tone for the students to begin their pharmacy career with an innovative mindset.
Dr. Jayant Verma, Senior Neuro Surgeon, Regency Hospital, delivered an engaging and highly relevant session on Stress Management. With his practical wisdom and experience, he guided students on how to handle stress, maintain mental well-being, and strike a healthy balance between academic commitments and personal life. His motivating words reassured students that resilience and positivity are key ingredients for success.
Both guests extended their heartfelt best wishes to the freshers, motivating them to embrace this new phase with confidence and dedication, while envisioning a bright and impactful future in the field of pharmacy.
The day concluded with vibrant energy as students actively participated in Rangoli Competition and Cooking Without Fire Activity, showcasing their creativity, teamwork, and enthusiasm.

Description of the Event – The third day of the Orientation & Induction Programme (Deeksharambh – 2025) was a blend of scientific insights and soulful motivation, designed to guide our newly admitted B.Pharm 1st Year students (2025–26 batch) towards innovation, resilience, and well-being.
The day featured two thought-provoking sessions:
🔹 Dr. Debmalya Roy, Additional Director & Scientist G, Head of Nanoscience & Coating Division, DMSRDE, DRDO, Kanpur, enlightened students with his address on “Next Generation Adaptive Functional Materials for Biomedical Application.” His session opened doors to futuristic possibilities in pharmaceutical and biomedical sciences, inspiring students to think ahead and embrace the potential of research and innovation.
🔹 Ms. Riya Chatterjee, Head HR & Administration, E-Spin Nanotechnology, Kanpur, guided students on the importance of human resource skills, workplace professionalism, and career readiness. Her address provided valuable insights into how students can align their academic growth with industry expectations and future opportunities.
Both guests conveyed their heartfelt best wishes to the fresh entrants, motivating them to pursue excellence with determination, innovation, and discipline.
The day ended on a lively and energetic note as students participated enthusiastically in Kho-Kho, Kabaddi, and Tug of War. These activities not only added joy and excitement to the day but also fostered teamwork, coordination, and sportsmanship among the new students.

This impactful session was specially organized on the occasion of World Suicide Prevention Day (10th September), aiming to raise awareness on mental health and well-being. Rundrayogi Ji’s guidance encouraged students to adopt calmness, mindfulness, and meditation as powerful tools to overcome challenges, stay resilient, and value the gift of life. His words left a profound impression, reminding students that strength lies not only in knowledge but also in inner peace.
With such enlightening and life-touching sessions, Day 3 proved to be an unforgettable milestone in the induction journey, reinforcing the values of scientific excellence, mental strength, and holistic growth at Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy, Kanpur.

Day 4
Description of the Event – The morning began with an enlightening address by Dr. K. M. Prabhu Kumar, Principal Scientist & Associate Professor (ACSIR), Herbarium Curator (LWG), Plant Diversity, Systematics & Herbarium Division, CSIR – National Botanical Research Institute, Lucknow.
His talk opened a window into the world of plant diversity, systematics, and the vital role of herbarium collections in advancing research and conservation. Students were inspired to connect their pharmaceutical journey with the foundations of natural sciences, developing curiosity, discipline, and a vision for impactful research.
After this intellectual journey, the afternoon turned into a celebration of fun, energy, and bonding.
🔸 Musical Chair created laughter-filled moments, testing agility and quick reflexes.
🔸Three-Legged Race brought students together, teaching them teamwork, coordination, and the joy of friendly competition.
The day perfectly reflected the spirit of MPCP—where learning meets laughter, knowledge blends with creativity, and students grow through both academic and cultural experiences

Day 5
Description of the Event –
Our orientation programme carried the perfect balance of intellectual depth and thought-provoking reflection.
🔸We had the privilege of hosting Prof. Rakesh Kumar Majhi, Assistant Professor, BSBE, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur.
He shared an insightful discourse on “Harnessing therapeutic potential of ion channels in immunotherapy.” His talk unveiled how the study of ion channels is opening new frontiers in modern medicine, particularly in advancing treatments that empower the immune system to fight complex diseases.
Students were captivated by his ability to connect fundamental science with innovative therapeutic applications, igniting curiosity and motivating them to look at pharmacy through the lens of cutting-edge biomedical research.
🔸 Post-lunch, the programme turned to a cinematic experience with the screening of “Narsimha.”
More than just entertainment, the film delivered powerful lessons of resilience, courage, and standing firm against challenges. Through its narrative, students found inspiration to face their academic and professional journeys with the same determination and spirit—reminding us that true growth lies not just in knowledge but also in the strength of character.
🔸The day was a beautiful reminder that at MPCP, learning goes beyond textbooks—it is about broadening horizons, nurturing courage, and preparing students to make a meaningful mark in the world.

Day 1
Maharana Pratap Engineering College inaugurated its Induction Programme for the newly admitted B.Tech. First-Year Students with an inspiring Academic Orientation session on its first day. The program organized by the Department of Basic Sciences & Humanities served as a gateway to introduce students to the academic structure, teaching methodologies, and campus culture that will shape their engineering journey.
With motivating addresses from our Director Academics, Dean- Technical Training and Heads of Departments, students gained valuable insights into the learning ecosystem, academic support mechanisms, and opportunities for holistic development.
The second session of the day featured a talk by Mr. Gokulakannan Narasimhan, Sr Manager, Global Emerging Talent, Service Now, on ‘Campus to Corporate’ in which he shared his experiences & inspired the students.
Day 2
The second day of the Induction Programme witnessed an engaging and insightful session by Mr. Joshua David, Head HR, Mphasis. In his inspiring talk, Mr. David highlighted the importance of adaptability, continuous learning, and professional ethics in today’s fast-changing corporate world.
In another session, Ms. Meha Sharma, Advisor – Coaching & Talent Development, Withum, emphasized the crucial role of soft skills, communication, confidence, and teamwork in shaping successful engineers.
The same day exciting Talent Hunt Competition was organized providing the newly admitted students a platform to showcase their creativity and hidden skills. It witnessed enthusiastic participation, with students displaying talents ranging from singing, dancing and poetry to other artistic expressions.
Day 3
The third day featured an inspiring talk by Mr. Kartik Rao, Senior Manager – Talent Acquisition, Palo Alto Networks, who addressed the students by emphasizing the importance of skill development, innovation, and adaptability in the rapidly evolving technology sector.
The afternoon session witnessed addresses by Mr. Gurpreet Singh, Sr. Manager – Talent Acquisition, Sopra Steria, and Mr. Harsh Raj Jain, America & India Campus Lead, Ebix, where they emphasized the importance of professional discipline, skill enhancement, and continuous learning in order to succeed in today’s competitive job market.
Both sessions were highly interactive, with students engaging in meaningful discussions on career readiness, emerging technologies, and future opportunities in the corporate world.
Day 5
On the fifth day of the induction programme, the institute had the privilege of hosting Prof. H.C. Verma, Padma Shri awardee, renowned physicist, educationist, and author of the acclaimed book Concepts of Physics. Prof. Verma inspired the students with his thought-provoking talk on the beauty of science, the joy of learning, and the role of curiosity in driving innovation. He emphasized the importance of developing strong fundamentals, nurturing a scientific mindset, and applying knowledge to solve real-world problems.
Through anecdotes and experiences, he motivated students to pursue engineering not merely as a degree but as a journey of exploration and contribution to society. The session was truly enriching and left a lasting impression on the young minds, marking a memorable highlight of the induction programme.

Day one of Orientation Program
Description of the Event – The first day of Deeksharambh 2025 commenced with a warm Welcome Address by our respected Director Ma’am, followed by greetings from the Heads of Departments. Students were then introduced to the campus facilities, academic environment, and student support services.
Special sessions were conducted by the Placement Cell, highlighting career opportunities and industry connections, and the Accounts Department, guiding students about scholarships and fee-related procedures. The day concluded with fun ice-breaking activities, ensuring active participation and creating a positive start to the academic journey of our new batch.
Day 2: Guest Talks on Communication & Leadership
On the second day of Deeksharambh 2025, students attended two highly insightful guest lectures. The first session was delivered by Dr. Nita Dave Jain, who spoke on the Importance of Communication Skills for personal and professional success. This was followed by an engaging talk by Dr. Garima Williams on Personality Development and Leadership, emphasizing the qualities required to excel as future leaders.
The sessions enriched the students’ learning experience and inspired them to work on their communication, confidence, and leadership abilities.

Day 3: Yoga, Meditation & Alumni Interaction
The third day of Deeksharambh 2025 began with a refreshing session of Yoga and Meditation, promoting physical wellness, mindfulness, and stress management among students. Post this, the program featured a highly interactive Alumni “Senior-to-Junior” Talk, where alumni shared their experiences, career journeys, and valuable advice for the new batch.
The interaction created an inspiring bridge between current students and alumni, fostering motivation, guidance, and a strong sense of belonging.

Day 4: Interactive Movie Session, Games & Stand-up Comedy
The fourth day of Deeksharambh 2025 was filled with creativity, fun, and entertainment. The day began with an interactive movie session on The Pursuit of Happyness, where students discussed key life lessons of perseverance, determination, and hope.
This was followed by fun-filled games and ice-breaking activities, encouraging teamwork and bonding among the new students. The highlight of the evening was a stand-up comedy act by Arisha, which brought joy, laughter, and a refreshing close to the day’s schedule.

Day 5: MOU Signing & Student Engagement Activities
The fifth day of Deeksharambh 2025 marked a significant milestone with the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Parivartan Kanpur Forum, aimed at fostering collaboration and student development initiatives.
Following this, students participated in fun and interactive sessions, which encouraged creativity, active involvement, and strengthened the bond among peers. The day highlighted both academic partnerships and student engagement, making it a memorable part of the orientation journey.
