HR Fest Day 2

HR Fest Day 2: Focusing on Real-World Challenges Day 2 of the HR Fest at Maharana Pratap Engineering College saw intense competition in the Debate and Case Study competitions. Participants showcased their critical thinking, problem-solving, and presentation skills, impressing judges Sonal Jakhodia, AVP Talent Lead V beyond and Harsha Gurnani, HR Manager RSPL. The Debate competition sparked lively discussions on pressing HR topics, while the Case Study challenge tested participants' ability to think on their feet and offer innovative solutions to real-world problems. The judges provided valuable insights and feedback, making the event an enriching experience for all involved.

HR Fest 2026: Synapse HR Day 1 Maharana Pratap Engineering College, Kanpur, recently hosted a 4-day HR Fest from January 28th to January 31st, themed ‘Connecting People, Data, Decision’. The event saw enthusiastic participation from students and HR professionals alike. Day 1 kicked off with a thrilling Quiz Competition, featuring an Audio-Video Round that tested participants’ knowledge of HR terms. The event was graced by esteemed guests Neelakshi Mishra from Ekak Innovation Pvt Ltd and Richa Verma, HR Manager, MPGI Group. Saras Mela – A Government of India Initiative

Participation of MPCPS in Saras Mela – A Government of India Initiative Maharana Pratap College of Professional Studies, Kanpur proudly participated in the Saras Mela, a prestigious Government of India initiative, organized by Kanpur Mandal at Motijheel Lawn, Kanpur. The three-day event began with an orientation programme, graced by the presence of several eminent and distinguished dignitaries, including the District Magistrate (DM) Kanpur, Chief Development Officer (CDO), Block Development Officers (BDOs) from two Janpads – Kanpur and Etawah, along with Shri Satish Mahana Ji. The orientation also witnessed the participation of representatives from EKAL Social Initiative, FICCI FLO, and eminent women entrepreneurs, making the occasion highly inspiring and impactful. Representatives from MPCPS were present during the orientation, reaffirming the institution’s commitment to government-led social and developmental initiatives. The event serves as a significant platform for Self-Help Groups (SHGs) and women entrepreneurs, enabling them to showcase their skills, creativity, and indigenous handmade products, while promoting economic self-reliance and women empowerment. Our BBA students actively engaged throughout the event, supporting women entrepreneurs by They engaged enthusiastically with artisans, promoted their products, and helped amplify their stories of skill, creativity, and resilience. Day 1 | 3rd International Conference “Empowering Healthcare with Novel Drug Discoveries including AI Approaches” Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy, Kanpur, proudly marked Day 1 of the 3rd International Conference on “Empowering Healthcare with Novel Drug Discoveries including AI Approaches”, bringing together a distinguished gathering of policymakers, regulatory leaders, academicians, industry professionals, and international experts from the pharmaceutical sector. The conference was graced by Dr. G. N. Singh, Advisor to the Hon’ble Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh, and Former Drug Controller General of India (DCGI), Government of India. In his address, Dr. Singh highlighted the transformative role of artificial intelligence in drug discovery and evaluation processes and emphasized that Uttar Pradesh is steadily progressing towards becoming a major pharmaceutical hub of the country. Mr. Daara B. Patel, Secretary-General, Indian Drug Manufacturers Association (IDMA), underlined the critical importance of innovation-driven research and strong industry–academia collaboration to enhance India’s global standing in the pharmaceutical landscape. The conference featured insightful deliberations by eminent speakers including Dr. Vinay Krishna, Former Director, LPS Institute of Cardiology & Cardiac Surgeon; Dr. V. Kalaiselvan, Secretary-cum-Scientific Director, Indian Pharmacopoeia Commission (IPC), Ministry of Health & Family Welfare, Government of India; Dr. Deependra Singh, Chairman, Education Regulations Committee, Pharmacy Council of India, New Delhi; and Mr. Aseem Sahu, Deputy Drug Controller, Central Drugs Standard Control Organization (CDSCO). Their sessions offered valuable perspectives on regulatory science, drug evaluation frameworks, and emerging trends shaping pharmaceutical innovation. The presence of Mr. Amreek Singh, Assistant General Manager (Nodal Head), Macleods Pharmaceuticals Ltd., and Amit Kanabar, Head – Intas Centre of Excellence (ICE) | Skill Development, further strengthened the industry connect of the conference. Adding a strong global dimension, international experts Premysl Mladenka, Lucija Peterlin Masic, Fernando Remiao, Filip Boratynski, Alejandro Jose Carazo, Marcel Hrubsa, Zuzana Lomozova, Patricia Harcarova, and Natalija Trunkelj shared global insights on AI-enabled drug discovery and international research collaboration. Day 1 concluded with powerful deliberations on how artificial intelligence is redefining drug discovery, evaluation processes, and innovation in the pharmaceutical sector—setting a strong foundation for the days ahead and marking a significant step toward deeper global academic and industry collaboration.

HR Fest Day 1

Day 2 of the 3rd International Conference on “Empowering Healthcare with Novel Drug Discoveries including AI Approaches” at Maharana Pratap College of Pharmacy, Kanpur, unfolded as a powerful confluence of scientific excellence, innovation, and global collaboration. The day witnessed enriching interactions among eminent policymakers, regulatory authorities, academicians, researchers, clinicians, and international experts from the pharmaceutical and healthcare domains. The conference was graced by an illustrious panel of dignitaries whose presence added immense academic and research value to the deliberations. Dr. Sandeep Verma, Recipient of the prestigious Shanti Swarup Bhatnagar Prize for Science and Technology and Professor, Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Technology, Kanpur, shared deep scientific insights reflecting the future direction of advanced drug research. Prof. Akash Ved, Central Council Member, Pharmacy Council of India, and an accomplished pharmacy academician and researcher, emphasized the role of academic rigor and policy-driven education in shaping future-ready pharmacists. Industry and innovation perspectives were strengthened by Dr. Sandip Patil, Director, E-Spin Nanotech Pvt. Ltd., Kanpur, and Dr. Vasav Krishna, Head – AI/ML Domain, SIIC, IIT Kanpur, who highlighted translational research, nanotechnology, and artificial intelligence as key enablers of next-generation drug discovery. The conference also benefited from the vast regulatory and toxicology expertise of Dr. Srikanta Kumar Rath, Secretary General, Toxicology, Honorary President of Indian Zoological Welfare Society, Former Head of Toxicology and Experimental Medicine Division, Chief Scientist & Professor, AcSIR (CDRI), who provided critical insights into safety evaluation and experimental medicine. Adding a strong foundation of natural product research and biodiversity conservation, Dr. Prabhukumar K.M., Senior Scientist & Herbarium Curator, PDSH Division, CSIR–NBRI, Lucknow, shared perspectives on medicinal plant research and its relevance in modern drug discovery. Clinical relevance was highlighted by Dr. Sony Vyas, Senior Consultant, General Medicine and Critical Care Specialist, Paras Healthcare, Kanpur, who connected scientific innovation with real-world patient care and therapeutic outcomes. Five Days Faculty Development Programme​

The institution organized a Faculty Development Programme on “Communication, Confidence & Career Skills Program” with the objective of strengthening the professional competencies of faculty members and enhancing teaching effectiveness. The programme focused on developing effective communication skills, confident personality traits, and impactful presentation abilities among educators. Emphasis was placed on improving classroom interaction, clarity of expression, body language, voice modulation, and professional conduct, which are essential for effective teaching–learning processes. The FDP adopted an experiential and participative approach, including interactive sessions, role plays, practical demonstrations, self-assessment activities, and real-time classroom simulations. These activities enabled faculty members to reflect on their pedagogical practices and adopt learner-centric strategies.
The programme contributed significantly to:
1. Enhancement of teaching confidence and classroom presence
2. Improvement in communication effectiveness and delivery skills
3. Development of professional attitude and leadership qualities
4. Creation of engaging and motivating classroom environments

Industrial Visit

COCA COLA PLANT, Unnao

The institution organized an Industrial Exposure Visit for BBA 1st Year students with the objective of providing practical exposure to the industrial and professional work environment and bridging the gap between theoretical knowledge and real-world business practices. During the visit, students were introduced to the organizational structure, workplace culture, communication practices, operational processes, and professional ethics followed in the industry. Interaction with industry professionals enabled students to understand the importance of effective communication, teamwork, time management, discipline, and professional behavior in an organizational setting. The visit helped students gain insights into industry expectations, corporate etiquette, and functional coordination, enhancing their awareness of real-time business operations. Observational learning and guided explanations strengthened students’ understanding of how management concepts are applied in practice. Overall, the industrial exposure visit played a significant role in developing students’ professional outlook, industry awareness, and career orientation, thereby supporting their holistic development as management students.

Diwali Celebration

At MPGI

As the night deepened, the sky lit up with stunning fireworks that drew gasps from everyone. The sparkle of the diyas seemed to blend with the glittering sky above, creating a picture-perfect Diwali moment. Then came the DJ night with beats, cheers, and a crowd dancing their hearts out. Students and teachers swayed together under the fairy lights, celebrating not just a festival, but the joy of togetherness.

Navratri Ni Raat

Day 1

The night of 27th September at Maharana Pratap Group of Institutions was all filled with lights, music, and joy. By 5 PM, the cricket ground of MPGI was filled with students, teachers, and staff, eagerly waiting for the celebration. The function commenced by offering prayers in front of the idol of Goddess Navdurga followed with the welcome of Hon’ble J.S. Sir, Trustee Ma’am, and other dignified guests. The prayers and the light of diyas filled the moment with calmness and serenity.

Then came the actual fun. The students performed group and solo dances and everyone clapped and cheered. The RJ was so full of energy and made the night so full of laughter and games. The music of the DJ made everyone danced without a second thought. It was a blend of smiles, music, and joy all over.

There were also food stalls that made the night even more wonderful. The aroma of snacks and sweets drew everybody to sample something delicious. They danced, ate, and savored every moment of it. The sky lanterns were finally released at the end, and the night seemed enchanted. They all stood united, gazing at the lights shooting high up, feeling calm and joyful within.

Day 2

The second day, the 28th of September, was equally brimming with liveliness. Once more, everyone was together with the same cheery spirit. The night began with the same warm welcoming of the guests, then they lit the lamp and did Aarti in front of Maa Durga’s idol. The moment felt special, and positivity and faith filled all present.

Next, the program began with solo and duet dance competitions. The stage was buzzing with energy and the audience was cheering for their friends. The RJ made it even better with his gaming and jokes, making everyone laugh and child-like engaged. The Twinning contest was even funnier as students were dressed alike in pretty pairs.

Food stalls wereeverywhere and people were eating snacks and viewing performances. Next, the band performed and everyone was free to dance. Finally, the celebration ended with the launch of sky lanterns that looked stunning as they shined in the dark sky. After all of the forms of fun, it was a moment of tranquility. Everyone left with tired feet but full hearts, taking with them the memories of enjoyable, unforgettable evenings.
